These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Roam Africa Travel Booking platform (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By using our website or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms:
- Booking means any order completed through our Platform for flights, accommodation, tours, activities, car rental, transfers, or related travel services.
- Customer means the person making the booking and any passengers or travelers included in the booking.
- Supplier means third-party providers including airlines, hotels, activity operators, transport operators, and car rental companies.
- Travel Services means all products offered through our Platform including flights, hotels, tours, activities, car rentals, transfers, and related travel services.
- Booking Price means the total price payable for your booking including taxes, supplier charges, and any service fees.
2. Role of Roam Africa Travel Booking
Roam Africa Travel Booking acts as an online travel intermediary.
- We facilitate the search, comparison, and booking of travel services provided by independent third-party Suppliers.
- When you make a booking, you authorize us to arrange travel services on your behalf with the relevant Supplier.
- The contract for the actual travel service is between you and the Supplier.
- Supplier-specific rules, policies, and conditions also apply.
3. Booking Process and Agreement
A booking is considered completed when all of the following steps have been successfully completed:

- you select your desired travel services;
- you provide all requested traveler information;
- you confirm your booking details;
- full payment is successfully received.
3.2 Booking confirmation
After payment is received, we will send you a booking confirmation by email.
3.3 Booking availability
A booking confirmation from us does not guarantee immediate ticketing or reservation where supplier confirmation is still pending.
In rare cases, bookings may not be fulfilled due to:
- supplier availability changes;
- pricing changes;
- technical errors;
- duplicate bookings;
- incorrect traveler information.
If a booking cannot be completed, we may offer an alternative or issue a refund of the amount paid.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed on our Platform are subject to availability and may change until full payment has been received.
Prices may include:
- supplier fares;
- taxes;
- service charges;
- booking fees;
- payment processing fees where applicable.
You authorize us to charge the full booking amount to your selected payment method. If a payment is declined, the booking will not be confirmed.
5. Flights
Flight bookings are subject to the airline’s own fare rules and conditions.
These may include restrictions relating to:
- cancellations;
- changes;
- refunds;
- baggage;
- missed flights;
- no-shows.
It is your responsibility to verify passport validity, visa requirements, entry restrictions, and transit requirements.
Roam Africa Travel Booking is not liable for denied boarding resulting from missing or incorrect travel documentation.
6. Hotels and Accommodation
Hotel reservations are subject to the accommodation provider’s policies.
This may include:
- check-in and check-out times;
- cancellation deadlines;
- no-show charges;
- security deposits;
- age restrictions.
Special requests such as early check-in, late check-out, or room preferences cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed by the supplier.
7. Tours, Activities and Experiences
Tours and activities are operated by third-party providers.
The supplier may cancel, reschedule, or amend activities due to:
- weather conditions;
- safety concerns;
- operational requirements;
- force majeure events.
Participation in activities is at your own risk unless otherwise required by applicable law.
8. Car Rental
Car rental services are subject to the rental company’s terms.
These may include requirements relating to:
- valid driver’s licence;
- minimum driver age;
- deposit requirements;
- insurance coverage;
- fuel policy;
- mileage limits.
The rental company may refuse collection of the vehicle if required documentation is not provided.
9. Changes, Cancellations and Refunds
9.1 Customer-requested changes
Changes requested after booking are subject to supplier rules and availability.
Additional fees may apply.
9.2 Customer-requested cancellations
If you cancel for your own reasons, refunds depend entirely on the supplier’s applicable fare or cancellation rules.
9.3 Non-refundable services
Certain travel products may be wholly or partly non-refundable.
9.4 Refund processing time
Where a refund is approved, processing time depends on the supplier and payment provider.
Refunds may take several business days or longer depending on the service provider.
9.5 Service fees
Unless expressly stated otherwise, our service fees are non-refundable once booking processing has started.
10. Travel Disruptions
Roam Africa Travel Booking is not responsible for travel disruptions caused by suppliers, including but not limited to:
- flight delays;
- flight cancellations;
- schedule changes;
- hotel overbookings;
- activity cancellations;
- supplier insolvency.
Where possible, we may assist in communication with suppliers, but we do not guarantee alternative arrangements unless expressly agreed.
11. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate, including:
- full names;
- travel dates;
- passenger details;
- contact details;
- passport information.
Incorrect information may result in cancellation, denied boarding, or extra charges.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roam Africa Travel Booking shall not be liable for:
- acts or omissions of third-party suppliers;
- delays, cancellations, or schedule changes;
- loss of enjoyment;
- indirect or consequential loss;
- missed connections;
- losses resulting from inaccurate customer information.
Our liability shall not exceed the total service fee paid directly to us, except where prohibited by law.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- natural disasters;
- strikes;
- political unrest;
- pandemics;
- government restrictions;
- airline operational disruptions.
14. Privacy and Data
By making a booking, you consent to the use and transfer of your personal information as necessary to process your booking with suppliers.
Your information may be shared with airlines, hotels, activity providers, and payment processors.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
16. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Changes will apply only to bookings made after the effective date of the revised Terms.
